# Story and Features of Cryptopolis

![](/files/GMwKw9jqzEGXZzGTqgQM)

**The story of Cryptopolis**

The Tower of Cryptopolis is a mystery on its own. No inhabitant has ever seen the top of the Tower, or knows who is responsible for building it. It is even rumored that it might be an infinite Starscraper. Most of the lower levels are hugged by the humidity of thick fog, whereas higher levels seem to have a clearer view of their surroundings and benefit from direct sunlight. The Tower has several districts of people who join forces in their beliefs of how the Tower got there in the first place, and they all face their own challenges in climbing the Tower to reach the top floor. If that even exists? Because nothing is certain in Cryptopolis, inhabitants seem to have created a few groups with their own views on the Tower and its history, and these groups established their own districts in the Tower. Historically seen, these competing views of the Tower have been in some disagreements, but for a few years, they have been in some form of an uneasy truce.

It's up to you to find out the truth behind the Tower's mystery. Everything here is based upon social currency and your actual wealth. Can you climb the Tower through smart decision-making and sheer determination? What challenges and answers will you find in the Tower's higher levels? and is there even a definitive truth to be found?

It's time to find out what is real and what is not. It's up to you, Cryptopian. Make friends and money along the way, but never forget to unravel the Tower's mysteries.

We will share more information about the guilds and districts within the Tower during its development.

**Features in Cryptopolis**

In Cryptopolis, you have several ways to have fun and create opportunities to climb your way through the Tower. The main features are:

* Play multiplayer minigames and put some $CPO on the line. The winner takes all!
* Completing quest lines that give you Prestige and/or in-game currency rewards.
* Trade your NFTs for $CPO, chips, or other NFTs from other players.
* Decorate your room with your NFTs and use them to keep your characters' needs up.
* Start a business in the Tower that meets the needs of its inhabitants and generate profit.
* Visit public spaces, meet new friends, and start new quest lines.
* Work for in-game chips in several locations.
* Increase your Prestige rank to unlock new quests, public spaces, and NFTs.
* Use your in-game chips at The Machine in the Bookchain Library and get NFTs as a reward.

All of the features in our game tie together with our character progression system ([Prestige](/welcome-to-the-cryptopolis-gitbook/about-cryptopolis/prestige.md)) and your Avatar' [Needs](/welcome-to-the-cryptopolis-gitbook/about-cryptopolis/character-needs.md). Everything your Avatar wants to do and does not want to do is based on their overall mood. Want your Character to do some work to grind Prestige or Chips, but he or she is hungry? Tough luck! Your Character first wants to eat or sleep before he or she will do the action you want them to do. This all comes together with the NFTs you have or use. Every NFT will have in-game utility to ensure you can keep your Character happy and ready to make you some $CPO or in-game chips.

Please note that not all features are in the Early Access version of the game and will be added over the coming months. To stay up to date with development and new patches, make sure you follow our [social channels](/welcome-to-the-cryptopolis-gitbook/our-socials.md).
