# Trading

Trading is one of the key ways to acquire Room Items, Rooms, or Clothing items. The Cryptopolis Tower is bustling with life, and some of these inhabitants might have what you need!

You can trade with other players by clicking on their Character and pressing the trade button if they have something for sale. You can see if they have anything for sale by a little listing icon next to their name. Our Tower doesn't have a centralized marketplace. This way we can motivate players to create Rooms where they sell themed Items, (E.g: Clothing, Cooking-related Items, Gym equipment) and go around the Tower looking for players that sell their desired Items.

**Why Trading is important**

Within the Tower, one of the most effective ways of acquiring new and better Items is through trading. You can trade NFT Items for $CPO and in-game Chips. But, you can also choose to barter with one of your own Items. While you can buy boosterpacks to get five random NFT Items, or use the Machine in the Library to acquire a new random Item, Trading is the only way to specifically get that Item you have been looking for. Go around the Tower and ask other players if they sell what you need or go to one of the many businesses players will start over the coming months. Or maybe you are thinking of starting your own store?

So there you have it Cryptopian, trade your way to fortune, and we will see you in the higher levels soon enough!
